Bring any of your gently used medical devices that can be re purposed for our athletic department to help out our injured athletes throughout the year. Devices that can be accepted include Braces, Crutches, Orthopedic Boots, Slings, and Splints. For each item that is donated, you will get an entry for a drawing for a Great River Health Fitness Water Bottle.

Tonight’s JV Boys basketball game at L-M has been cancelled for tonight. The JV Girls will play at 4:30, followed by the Varsity girls at 6:00 and the Varsity Boys after.

The Indians and Arrows will be on the road this evening when they travel to L-M High School to take on the L-M Falcons in Basketball action this evening. The action begins at 4:30 with the JV Girls, followed by the JV Boys and Varsity Girls, and finishing up the action will be the Varsity Boys. Good luck to all of our athletes! Come to L-M tonight and catch some great basketball action!

On Saturday members of the WHS art club went to their adopted charity, Ronald McDonald House if Iowa City to volunteer their time. While there they made casseroles for residents, and also cleaned the kitchens and common spaces of the house.
Kara Veach, our district Reading Consultant from Great Prairie AEA, visited Mrs. Salazar’s reading class this morning. The students learned some new strategies for decoding multi-syllabic words in their reading. Mrs. Veach will be here most of the week, working with middle school students on their reading skills. Congratulations to the Wapello Indians wrestling team on their 3rd place team finish. Dawson Tipps, Evan Ross, Kainoa Seumanutafa, and Dakota Boline finishes in 4th, Jacob Chamberline and Christopher Ewart placed 3rd on the day. Chase Witte and Mitchell Moore took second. For the 4th time in his high school career Daniel Meeker took the top spot on the podium. Congratulations to all the wrestlers today at the SEISC tournament. #wearewapello
