2021 Senior Spotlight: Today's second Senior Spotlight is Tess Lee Loyd. She is the daughter of Sonya Beeding and Joe Loyd. During her tenure at Wapello she has been active in Band for two years, Choir for three, and Speech and Drama for four years. Tess's future plans are to pursue a Real Estate and Financial degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She says the teacher who has influenced her the most is Ms. Bostian. This is because "I always wanted to do plays and musicals. Having that opportunity available to me at Wapello made me extremely happy. Bostian also introduced me to many different shows and music, she also showed me the world of speech. Doing speech got me completely out of my comfort zone. I made many friends from different places at competitions as well." Her advice to underclassmen is "..don't get yourself overwhelmed. The only time I ever truly had trouble in school would be when I would get myself too overwhelmed and worked up. Try and talk to someone to help manage all your stress." Good luck Tess in your future after graduation.
