Don't Forget: There will be a parent/guardian informational meeting for the classes of 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 on March 8, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. in the WHS auditorium. The goal of this meeting is to help prepare students and families to get the best possible information and prepare for high school. Here is this week's What's Happening at Wapello for the week of March 5-11. Spring sports are starting to ramp up with the two indoor meets this week for select athletes. Parent/Teacher Conferences are this week on Wednesday and Thursday. There is no school on Friday.

Some of the things that the Wapello Community School District will do if the Revenue Purpose Statement is approved with the SAVE Funds include: - Install Updated Technology infrastructure -Remodel existing buildings and/or construct new facilities if the need arises -Purchase, lease, or lease-purchase equipment, technology, or transportation/equipment -Assist with cleanup from a natural disaster if a disaster necessitates such costs Please look at the attached graphic giving more information on this important election on Tuesday, March 7. Please vote YES this coming Tuesday (March 7) for the Public Measure NI on the special election ballot. The Wapello CSD is asking voters to approve a new Revenue Purpose Statement. The Revenue Purpose Statement allows the districts to spend their SAVE Dollars (Local Option Sales Tax) past the 2029 expiration of the original Revenue Purpose Statement. Wapello has used the SAVE revenue to renovate the auditorium, replace lights and bleachers at the football complex, and construct the practice gym, among other projects. Passage of the new Revenue Purpose Statement will allow the district to spend these dollars until 2051. To learn more about this critical ballot question, visit our website. Wapello won their first match moving them into the semi final. First match was not streamed but was I was told the rest will be.
