Our 8th graders did research and chose a candidate to endorse and make a poster for, in hopes of convincing the other middle school students to vote for that person in our straw poll on October 30th. Over 70,000 kids around the state will participate in the straw poll. #wearewapello #wapellotribepride





For meeting their AR goals for first quarter, Ms. Hazelwood treated the class to Casey’s pizza for lunch and since the entire class hit their goals, Mrs. Dopler sweetened the deal and made everyone root beer floats while they got to watch a movie! #wearewapello #wapellotribepride

8th graders got some practice in real world politics. They needed to select a candidate with the goal of having classmates vote for that candidate in the Iowa Straw Poll held on October 30.
