The Indians and Arrows will compete at home tonight in the Wapello Co-Ed Relays. Field Events start at 4:30 p.m. at the Car "Mac" McGill Athletic Complex. Come cheer on the Indians and Arrows in this first home meet of the season!

8th Grade Students are taking part in a College Visit today at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Students are being given a tour and are learning about the different degree programs that are available to them. It is never to early to begin thinking about their future!

Congratulations again to Blake Maine, Lydia Fisher, and Matthew Peterson on being selected for the IHSSA All-State Speech Festival held yesterday at the University of Northern Iowa. Speech and Drama Coach, Jane Bostian reported that all three gave fabulous performances! Congratulations Again on this high honor!

Mrs. Smith’s(Hazelwood) 5th Grade Class experimented mixing substances together to try to make new substances in Science. Students also got to make goo at the end of the experiment. They really enjoyed it!





This is a portion of the presentation that Dr. Joe Sanfelippo gave to WHS students on Friday, March 22, 2019. In this portion he is telling the students that we don't need to reinvent the "awe" in education today, it is already happening, we just need to make sure we are telling our story and getting the "awe" back out in the public view.

Kindergarten Roundup is right around the corner! On April 5, Wapello Elementary will hold their Kindergarten Roundup for the 2019-2020 School Year. If you have a child entering Kindergarten and need to schedule a time, please call the Wapello Elementary Office to schedule a time for your student. Please note that there will be no classes for our current Kindergartners or Preschoolers on April 5. If you have any questions, please call Wapello Elementary at 319-523-5571.

Did you know that the Wapello FFA is the only FFA Chapter in the United States to produce a PRCA Rodeo? We are pretty pumped up that we have the pleasure of working with Barnes PRCA Rodeo to fully execute a Professional Rodeo right here in Wapello, IA. In these photos by Beth Kujala, 128 Tallahassee Red (Taken at the Barnes Ranch and 2018 Wapello FFA Pro Rodeo) earned the title of Top Bull at the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Kissimmee! Mark your calendars for July 19-20 to attend the only Student Run Rodeo in the United States when you visit the Wapello FFA Pro Rodeo!
