Congratulations to the Wapello Arrows on punching their ticket to the 2019 State Softball Tournament! The Arrows defeated the Pekin Panthers in the Region 8 Final to qualify for the State Softball Tournament in Fort Dodge next week. Stay tuned for details!

The Wapello Arrows will try to punch their ticket to state tonight at Pekin High School when they take on the Panthers in the IGHSAU Region 8 Final with a trip to the State Tournament on the line! Best of luck to the Arrows and the coaches, play the best softball of the year and leave it all on the field! Game time is 7:00 and admission is $6 for adults and students.

Tonight's first game will start at 5:00, not 5:30 as previously advertised. Wapello will take on Danville at 7:00.

The Wapello Indians will open the Post Season tonight at home in the second game of a double header when they take on the Bears of Danville High School. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Carl "Mac" McGill Athletic Complex. The Wapello-Danville game will follow the L-M and West Burlington match up scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for students and adults. This Friday's Wapello Community School District Staff Feature Friday spotlight's Mrs. Kristen Marshall! Mrs. Marshall is one of our High School Math Teachers, and she also serves as the National Honor Society Advisor.
Mrs. Marshall has taught for a combined 15 years, with 7 of those being spent in the Wapello Community School District. Mrs. Marshall is a Wapello High School Graduate with the class of 2000! Mrs. Marshall holds a Bachelors Degree from Iowa Wesleyan University and a Masters Degree from Morningside college.
Her family includes her husband Jason, who also works at Wapello High School as a Special Education Teacher, her son Jaxon (12) and daughter Emmalin (9). In her spare time, Mrs. Marshall enjoys spending time with her family, planning their next trip to take, digital scrapbooking and also cross-stitching.
When we asked Mrs. Marshall what she likes best about working at the Wapello Community School District, she responded, " The thing I like most about working for the Wapello Community School District is the people. I cherish the relationships and memories I have built with my current and former students. I have a deep respect and appreciation for my administrators and colleagues."
