The Wapello Post Prom Committee is hosting a Silent Auction Bake Sale tonight at the Wapello/Mediapolis basketball game. There will be delicious cinnamon rolls, cookies, cupcakes, and other treats from our talented local donors. Sale starts at 4:30PM and winners will be announced at half-time of the boys' game. Proceeds go to Post Prom! There will also be a 50/50 drawing at the game tonight. The winner will take home half of the money collected and the remaining half will be used for prizes at the annual After Prom Party. $1 - 1 Ticket $5 - 6 Tickets $10 - 12 Tickets $20 - Wingspan of Tickets The Wapello Post Prom Committee thanks you for your support!💙💛

The Wapello Wrestling Cheerleaders will be hosting a Wapello Little Cheer Clinic on January 11 and 12, and performing during the halftime of the Boys Basketball Game on Jan 14. We are in the final few days before the Christmas Break, but there are still opportunities to catch Wapello High School students doing what they do best. We have a music concert on Monday evening and on Tuesday, the Basketball Teams will be at home against Mediapolis and the Wrestlers will travel to Burlington Notre Dame for a Duals Tournament. #WeAreWapello #WapelloTribePride

Iowa State University Extension is offering a opportunity for students in grades 3-5 over the Christmas Break. Nutcracker + STEM The Nutcracker Ballet tells the story of a young girl, a heroic prince, and the fantastic dream they share. Kids will be looking at not only the Nutcracker – but also the science, technology, engineering, arts, and math that are part of the theater world through a reader’s theater performance and some fun challenges! Participants will perform a Reader’s Theater for family starting at 3 pm! This is for kids in grades 3-5 at $10 per participant. Space is limited, so register early! Here is another opportunity for students in grades K-3 over the Christmas Holiday Break! What do happy kids, healthy foods and messy tables have in common? They are all part of Kids in the Kitchen! Kids will have the opportunity to cook and taste healthy foods while learning about healthy eating and physical activity. This is for kids in grades K-3 at $15 per participant. Good afternoon. Out of an abundance of caution, and based on the recommendation of law enforcement, we are operating on a partial lockdown. This simply means that kids are staying within the building and will not be going outside for recess or other activities. Again, this is a purely precautionary measure.
