We know that parents are ready to begin the Registration Process for the 21-22 school year. Unfortunately, Power School is undergoing maintenance today and Friday.
We plan to open up the online registration for students on Monday, August 9, at 9:00 a.m. At that time E-Registration will be active inside of your Power School parent account.
On Tuesday, August 10, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. there will be staff available to help anyone that needs a device or assistance in registering your student for school using the E-Registration process. Staff will be available at both the Wapello Elementary and Wapello Jr/Sr High Offices.
We are excited to start the 21-22 school year, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate the final details to launch the online registration process on Monday, August 9, at 9:00 a.m.

Preseason Meeting: Parents and athletes headed into 7-12 grade are invited to attend an informational meeting Tuesday, Aug. 3rd in the High School Auditorium . Please choose one of the times (you don’t need to attend all of them) between 9:00, 1:30 or 6:00.

Also, athletes in 9-12 who did not have a baseline concussion test last fall can do that Tuesday between 2:00 and 6:00 (library). If you can’t remember if you were tested last year, contact Michelle Wade at michelle.wade@wapellocsd.org.

The Wapello CSD food pantry will be open Thursday, July 29th from 2:00-4:00. We have milk, eggs, snacks, meat and other goodies!
The Wapello wrestling team will be holding a summer wrestling camp for anyone (going to be) K-12. The event will take place Aug. 7th and 8th from 3:00-5:00 at the high school. Congratulations to Serah Shafer and Aliyah Lolling. They have been selected to the IGCA 2A Southeast All-District team. This team is selected by the southeast Iowa softball coaches.
Congratulations to Toni Bohlen & Serah Shafer (1st team), Aliyah Lolling & Sammy Ewart (2nd team), and Quinn Veach & Liv Fuller (honorable mention). As well as, Congratulations to Casey Short & Chase Witte (1st team), Cooper Garrison & Carson Belzer (2nd team), and Owen Housman & Tate Kronfeldt (honorable mention). These players were chosen by the SEISC North Division Baseball and Softball coaches (respectively) to be part of the 2021 All-Conference teams.
Wapello JR/SR High School has two long-term substitute teaching positions open in the subject areas of Middle School Language Arts and Middle School Science for the 2021-2022 school year. Wapello Elementary has released their school supply list for the 21-22 school year, and we have that posted on our website now.
