The Wapello Community School District is assisting the Iowa Department of Education in getting the word out to parents regarding an important survey to collect data in regards to education in the State of Iowa. The F/S volleyball game tonight at Pekin has been canceled.
JV and Varsity are still playing, starting at 5:30PM.
The Arrows volleyball team will travel to Pekin today for a FS/JV/Var contest. First game is at 5:30PM.

Last Wednesday, the WHS Pom Squad held an activity at the elementary on the early out. Students had a snack, watched a holiday movie, decorated footballs or poms for their lockers, and played outside games. So much fun was had by everyone! The next one is December 7th. Watch for details, elementary parents!

Jayleen Rosario was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” Jayleen did a great job reading her book, “Good Night Gorilla” and sharing her stuffed animal.
The Cross Country team will travel to Hillcrest Academy today.
Here is this week's What's Happening at Wapello. Lots of chances to come out and cheer on our students as they peak going towards the end of the fall sports seasons. Many of our activities are away from Wapello this week, but we hope you can come cheer them on!

JH volleyball will play at home tonight versus LM. Game time is set for 4:30PM.
On Friday, students in Mrs. Wykert's kindergarten class had a special visit from Harley's grandma Dawn and her pet skunk, Duke! We learned that Duke, although his scent glands have been removed, will still lift his tail to "spray" when he is feeling like he is in danger. We also learned that he is a nocturnal animal, he loves to eat cheese, and if he were in the wild he would hibernate. Since he is domesticated, he will not hibernate but he will still eat a lot in order to build up fat for the winter. Thank you Duke, Harley and Dawn!
