Piper Yakle was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!” Piper is an animal lover and wanted to bring in one of her pets to share. She had wanted to bring in her chicken, but chose to share her kitten, Tigey, instead.

The Wapello Elementary PTO held their Wapello Indians Tailgate event!! To everyone that attended, donated, helped, cooked…Thank You! It was great to see so many people!

Secondary students who did not pick up their Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress scores at Parent/Teacher Conferences last night will be bringing them home in the next couple of days. Parents be on the look out for these scores!

The Wapello CSD Mobile App has gone through a re-design, and we are very pleased with the new layout of our mobile app. One thing we have discovered is that in order to receive our push notifications for important information, you must go in and enable the notifications on the new re-designed mobile app. To do this, simply push the menu button, select Settings, then agree to configure settings by pressing the button at the bottom that reads, Got it, Select Push Notifications, and then select Wapello Community Schools. That is it! Once you have completed these steps, you are all set, you will receive our push notifications that are sent out.
