The Wapello FRC (First Robotics Competition) Team is gearing up for their Regional Competition on March 25-27 at UNI in Cedar Falls. Nineteen students in grades 9-12 make up this year's team. This year's significant upgrade to our program was the opportunity to secure mentors from a local manufacturer, S & J Tube. These mentors have regularly checked in on our team to offer guidance when needed regarding the robot the team has built for competition. In addition to the machining guidance and expertise, S & J donated $2,000 to the Robotics team. The Robotics Team Members say a huge "Thank you" to S&J for supporting our team this year.

Dr. Seuss week has been busy so far! Kindergarteners have made their own Cat hats and created their own Lorax. We've read and watched The Cat In The Hat and The Lorax. We've also read Oh The Thinks You Can Think. Today students dressed up as who they'd like to be when they grow up. We had a teacher, a police officer, a princess, Peter Parker (Spiderman), Elsa, a pop star, a mom, a veterinarian, and a few who just wanted to be themselves. Wednesday is crazy sock day and we will be reading Fox In Socks and Oh, The Places You'll Go.
