Here it is, another busy week at Wapello CSD this week. Here is what is happening at Wapello this week. We seem to have it all from music concerts to athletics, our students are doing what they do best! We hope you can make it out to cheer them on!

JH Girls basketball will travel to Columbus today. Start time is 4:30.
JH boys wrestling will travel to Pekin today. Wrestling begins at 4:30.
JV Boys Wrestling is at Mid Prairie today. Start time is 4:30.
Today our Roboloco teams competed in Davenport at the Putnam museum. Fun was had by all!!
Our Team Robo Emperors won the award for Innovative project. They researched the electrical side of the solar panel project for Elementary. If you’re in the Elementary check out their plaque they received. Thank you so much to Mike Mohrfeld of Mohrfeld Electric.
Our other ten Galactic Bagels won the Rising All Star award. They see a lot of potential in their efforts on their future Robot. They all received certificates. Great Job!
This was the first time they’ve competed!!

Wapello Community Schools are reaching out to you today to inform you of the loss of Natalie McCleary, a student at Louisa Muscatine, a neighboring school. Our thoughts and hearts are with the community as they navigate this tragedy.
On Thursday, December 8, Mr. Peterson, Mr. Bohlen, and Ms. Eakins met with the students of Wapello Junior High School and Wapello High School to provide support, comfort, and information about common reactions following a death and how adults can help youths cope. Counseling services are available for any student who may need or want any type of help surrounding this loss. We encourage you, as parents and guardians, to contact Ms. Eakins if you feel your student needs support.
