Every first-grade student goes to Mrs. Dunham's TAG (Talented and Gifted) Classroom for Enrichment and Assessment two days a week; Mrs. Dopler's class goes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Mrs. Shafer's class goes on Thursdays and Fridays. During this time, students are instructed through a program called PETS, which stands for Primary Education Thinking Skills. This is a curriculum for higher-level thinking and is designed to help identify students who may be gifted and talented. The PETS curriculum has six main woodland characters, each of whom is the "star" of each unit. In Unit 1, we learned about Dudley the Detective, who uses clues to find one and only one right answer to a problem or mystery.
First-grade parents, be sure to ask your child about what they are doing in TAG with Mrs. Dunham each week! When we finish a unit, the papers from that unit will be sent home, and you can ask your child about what they've learned.

Craft Fair!!!

HS Cross Country is at Burlington today.

FOOTBALLS... we have called an audible. If you would like to bring your football to games, you may do so. Here is the compromise...
Please only use the footballs in the area colored green on the map. We will also set up cones in that area, so everyone knows where the designated area is located.
For the safety of all spectators, this will be the only area footballs may be used.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

JH Football will travel to Van Buren County tonight.
