Mrs. Wykert's kindergarten class has been busy this month! The pumpkin we carved had 524 seeds! Then, we baked the seeds for a tasty treat and made pumpkin cookies! We've had a lot of collaboration time during math to determine heavy and light objects, 3D vs. 2D shapes, and puzzles. Yesterday we started work on our Piñata for Halloween. 🎃

Wapello XC ran at the district meet today in Iowa City. Big thank you to the student section who traveled to Kickers Park to support the team. The Cross Country Team says goodbye to four-year seniors Tate Wolford and Claire Anderson, whose leadership will be sorely missed next year.

Emma Ball was our 1st grade “Star of the Week!" We all loved meeting her cat, Dot. The kids enjoyed being able to pet and hold her, she was so soft and cuddly! She also read her favorite book, “the Pigeon Wants a Puppy!"
