Attention incoming 8th grade parents. Wapello has created a policy for 8th grader participation in high school sports. That policy can be found on our website under the student handbook section. Not included in this document is the form that is required to be filled out by medical professionals when they complete a physical. This form is in addition to the normal physical. If an 8th grade student/parent want to be considered in any sport, to participate at the high school level, a medical professional must compete the form found under the attached link. This does not guarantee an 8th grader will get the opportunity to play at the HS level, but it does indicate that the medical professional feels it is safe for them, physically. Each sport should be evaluated separately.
This form will be turned in with the new physical when it is completed. All current physicals are still active.
