Today's Staff Feature Friday shines the spotlight on our Elementary Secretary, Mrs. Phyllis Connolly. Mrs. Connolly is likely the first one to greet you when you enter Wapello Elementary or the first one you talk to when you call the Elementary building.
Her family includes her husband Omar along with her children, Barbie, David, and Matt. Mrs. Connolly also has nine grandchildren that she loves spending time with and supporting at their many events throughout the year.
Mrs. Connolly holds an associates degree from Southeastern Community college in West Burlington, IA. Mrs. Connolly has spent a total of 34 years in education, and all of those 34 years of experience have been at the Wapello Community School District.
In her spare time, you can find Mrs. Connolly playing golf, shooting pool, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family.
We asked Mrs. Connolly what she likes best about working at the Wapello Community School District. Her response was this, "I love that I know most of the students and parents. I started Kindergarten at Wapello Elementary and have lived here my whole adult life. It is a wonderful community to live in."
Congratulations Mrs. Connolly on being selected for our Staff Feature Friday spotlight! Check back next week for another staff member to be featured!
