It is Friday, so that means it is time for another Staff Feature Friday Spotlight! Today we recognize our Elementary Principal, Mr. Brett Nagle.
Mr. Nagle holds an Associate's Degree from Kirkwood Community College, a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Elementary Education, and his Master's Degree from Drake University in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Nagle has worked for the Wapello Community School District for the last eight years. He has a total of fourteen years of experience in education. His six years of previous experience includes being a classroom teacher in another district.
His family includes his wife Jessica, who also serves as a Special Education Associate at Wapello JR/SR High, and his son Grayson, a 4th grader at Wapello Elementary and his daughter Natalie.
In his spare time, you will find Mr. Nagle being outside spending time with his family, grilling out, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs.
Our last question for Mr. Nagle was, what do you like best about working at the Wapello Community School District? His response was this, "I love to see the growth and progress of the students in the district over the years. The longer I am here, the more I see kids growing and learning. It is rewarding to be a part of their education and their lives. From being 4 years old to leaving the Elementary 7 years later, and beyond into the secondary building; how kids mature and learn and become trustworthy citizens is awesome to see. I get to interact with kids in many settings, from in the classroom, to the ball games and concerts and activities outside of the school setting."
