It is Friday, so that means it is time for another Staff Feature Friday Spotlight! Today we recognize one of our Secondary Special Education Associates, Mrs. Michelle Hemphill. Michelle also serves as a substitute bus driver for the district.
Mrs. Hemphill has worked for the Wapello Community School District for the last 11 years as a substitute bus driver. She is currently in her second year as a Special Education Associate.
Her family includes her husband Shane, and her children, Daniel (Senior at WHS), Erin (Junior at WHS) and Emily (8th Grade at WJHS).
In her spare time, you will find Mrs. Hemphill being outside in her garden or flower beds and attending her kids' sporting events. She also enjoys camping, reading, and volunteering.
Our last question for Mrs. Hemphill was, what do you like best about working at the Wapello Community School District? Her response was, "In my position, every day is something new! I love working with the students, and the staff members are a great team!"
